SNOWMASS DEPTH IN COLOR GENETICS

Royal Promise quite possibly is one of the best looking huacaya males you'll lay eyes on! He has a drop dead gorgeous head on a compact, strongly framed body that has fleece packed on it to the ground.

Whilst his pedigree certificate says he is light fawn he's more a caramel color with some darker fiber and shading throughout the fleece. His mother is a daughter of the famous Snowmass Nova who has Bueno, Drambuie and Casanova as sires in the background. His father is Snowmass Royal Bronze from Andean Gold via Snowmass Andean bronze. So you have here a rich heritage of elite color from the fawn of Drambuie and the black of Nova through to the rich browns and fawns of Andean Gold and Royal Bronze.

Royal Promise historically has a stellar fleece. It shows off a high frequency, very fine crimp with staple formation and brightness. It is certainly is dense hence the staple organisation and has a super soft handle.

As you can see by the pics he is covered to the ground and represents a beautiful prototype of the breeeding he comes from. One of our main considerations of choosing him apart from the excellent fiber and phenotype was that he is a perfect follow on for our Snowmass Royal Rose sons we have used, Snowmass Royal Accent and Snowmass Royal Ember, combining the prepotent lines that have produced so many show winners in rich color.

The cria from Royal Promise have been a delight. Its been a pleasure seeing his production of gray cria. His cria carry color, exaggerated fineness along with density and always have a beautiful true to type huacaya profile and head.

We've used Royal Promise for quite some time so now we have to move him on because he is too heavily related to the huacayas here at Pucara International.

Description

This sweet female is from the French's well planned breeding program that is sired by the Famous Snowmass Royal Promise that is putting excellent fiber on his progeny.

Her 2013 cria was delivered easily and grew into a very heavy fleece young male.

Rosey looks a lot like her sire and with her dark colored genetics, she was bred to one of the premium black males in the NW and Champion male, MSA Pinot Noir for her 2014 female cria that is very nice with dense fleece with beautiful character.

We decided to breed Rosey to Palladium for her next cria.What an attractive MRG male he is with a lovely head and correct conformation plus...he has the fleece we want in our herd! It is incredibly soft with that wonderful touch that makes you want leave your hand on it. It is a high amplitude medium high frequency crimp style from skin to tip with good density.

Rosey delivered a medium silver gray female on 6/17/18 sired by Gunsmoke, our Silver Elation son. In 2019 she produced a precious Palladium daughter!

Alamo Rose Cream has produced nothing but pleasing offspring and we are grateful to have her in our herd!
