1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian - One of our first alpacas and worth her weight in gold to me. Her awards and the competition she was up against lead us to believe that she has one of the best dark fawn fleeces in the country. She's still gorgeous at eight years old and is an exceptional producer. She breeds and births easily, is a heavy milker with her cria's 24 hr IgG's off the charts (3000+) and weaning weights at 75-85 pounds. She consistently passes on her correct anatomy, phenotype, conformation, bone size, balanced proportions, fleece quality and coverage, and a truly perfect bite (we've never trimmed Truffy's teeth). Her first cria won a blue ribbon for his 16m dark brown fleece under M. Krieger in a class of 8. Her 2001 cria, Snowy (sired by 4P Locota), had a 48 hr IgG of almost 3600, placed 4th in a large, competitive juv. white female class at Alpacapalooza 2002 and was the highest selling white huacaya maiden (out of 4) at the Star Events 2001 auction (and no Accoyo in her!).
