Katia descends from top genetics on both sides of her tree. Her sire, Rockstar's Steely Dan is a multiple blue-ribbon winning son of Neversummer’s US Steel (a three-time Futurity Herdsire of the Year recipient). Her paternal great grandsire is none other than the legendary 17x Champion and 2x Judges' Choice winner, Aussie .38 Special!

Her dam, 3D's Midnight Katia is a Royal Black female with 100% Snowmass genetics. She won first place and Reserve Champion at the 2013 Northwest Alpaca Showcase, as well as several other ribbons in 2013 & 2014. Silver Katia is also the maternal granddaughter of Snowmass Matrix Midnight, a stunning bay black that won a First Place at AOA, and at The Futurity, First Place and the Color Championship. The Multi-Champion, Snowmass Matrix, is Katia's maternal great-grandsire who claimed 4X prestigious Get of Sire Banners and his sire is the one and only Snowmass Quechua.

Judge David Barboza awarded Silver Katia a 2nd Place ribbon at the 2024 TxOLAN Sweetheart Spectacular: Walking Fleece show (out of a class of 7). *1st Place won Reserve Champion. For her first breeding, we selected our Judge's Choice & 12x Champion, Estates Ameretto's Royal Knight. Silver Katia is due in August 2026.
