Description

Sakima's Samarai Spirit is a premier true black Huacaya representing elite herd advancement. A Color Champion, Reserve Champion, & Multiple Blue Ribbon Winner (including Futurity & AOA Nationals), Samarai Spirit has defined excellence throughout his career. His success across halter/WF categories demonstrates independent validation of his exceptional phenotype, fleece organization, remarkable softness, impressive brightness, & balanced conformation. His fleece is nothing short of stunning — exceptionally bright throughout the staple, highly uniform, & carrying beautifully into his extremities. All of this sits on a well-grown frame, already displaying a macho & stylish phenotype that turns heads. He brings together an exceptional phenotype, outstanding fleece organization, remarkable softness, impressive brightness, and a perfectly balanced frame.

Sired by the legendary Patagonia Estates Sakima & out of Amber Autumn Caytlin, Samarai Spirit represents generations of purposeful breeding for the ACE program. His elite pedigree blends the genetics of Patagonia Estates Sakima, Snowmass Andean Midnight, Snowmass Fineness Matters, Patagonia's Lennox, & Patagonia's Augusta, combining proven black genetics with lasting fleece quality & structural correctness. With his sire Sakima now closed to outside breedings, opportunities to acquire these highly sought-after genetics are increasingly limited.

Perhaps even more meaningful than his banners is the remarkable consistency of his evaluations. At the 2026 NWSS, Judge Jacob Hart selected Samarai Spirit as Color Champion, commenting: "Our Color Champ [is] really checking a lot of those boxes here today. As he comes into the ring, I notice that he's got the width to his chest... as I view his fleece, he continues to get even better. His softness of his fleece is going to translate into the end product... along with a high degree of brightness throughout the fleece. Very, very impressive male here." "This male is certainly the most complete within this lineup... Great width to the chest and throughout towards the pelvis. Straight, strong topline as well... Extremely organized & consistent within the level of organization from skin to tip." These evaluations speak directly to the traits that matter most in a breeding male. Samarai Spirit combines a powerful frame with lasting fineness & fleece consistency from skin to tip. Judge Hart specifically emphasized that the softness expressed in his fleece will carry through to the finished textile, underscoring his immense commercial value.

Estates Sakima's Samarai Spirit exemplifies our program's focus on assembling a herd built on influential genetics, exceptional fleece quality, & correct Huacaya phenotype. Combining championship performance with distinguished black genetics, Samarai Spirit offers progressive breeders an exceptional opportunity to strengthen their herd's foundation and invest in the future of elite black Huacayas.
