ESTATES SAKIMA'S SAMARAI SPIRIT: Lot 38 - 2026 ACE's Loaded Auction
Lot 38: ESTATES SAKIMA'S SAMARAI SPIRIT - Huacaya, Male, Unproven | True Black | AOA# 35470663 | D.O.B. 5/25/2024 (PATAGONIA ESTATES SAKIMA/AMBER AUTUMN CAYTLIN)
It was a tough decision to consign Estates Sakima’s Samurai Spirit, as we know he has the potential to make waves in the show ring this coming year. This young male possesses an undeniable “It” factor, and he’s only going to get better with age.
Samurai Spirit’s handling fleece is nothing short of stunning — exceptionally bright throughout the staple, highly uniform, and carrying beautifully into his extremities. All of this sits on a well-grown frame, already displaying a macho and stylish phenotype that turns heads.
Samurai Spirit has already proven himself in the ring. He just won a Blue Ribbon and Dark male Color Champion at the 2026 National Western Stock Show! He started his career by earning a Blue ribbon and Reserve Championship banner at the 2025 Wild West Alpaca Walking Fleece Show! (*Color Champion was our Estates Ameretto's Royal Knight) Judge Wade Gease also awarded Sakima's Samarai Spirit a Blue Ribbon at the 2025 Wild West Alpaca Halter Show! In addition, he won a 2nd Place ribbon at the 2025 Golden West Alpaca Expo (*First Place won Reserve Champion).
His pedigree is equally impressive. Any black breeder knows the impact Patagonia Estates Sakima has had in the show ring, with champion banners awarded to descendant after descendant. With Sakima closed to outside breedings, this is a rare opportunity to bring these coveted genetics into your program.
Add Samurai Spirit to your show string this year and watch him work for you — both in the ring and in your herd for years to come!

Awards:
Color Champion, 2026 National Western Stock Show: Halter, Huacaya Dark Male Championship (Class of 12) (Judge: Jacob Hart) (Judge's Comments: "This certainly was a very competitive line up throughout that entire process. As you saw, I take a look at how they walk into the ring, assessing their gate and their overall conformational attributes, and then I take a look at their fleece and I really do want to take a look at that fleece to see how well the traits are lining up in order to be the most usable for the end product. That said, our color champion really checking a lot of those boxes here today. As he comes into the ring, I notice that he’s got the width to his chest, he’s appropriately grown for his age of 20 months, and as I view his fleece, he continues to get even better. His softness of his fleece is going to translate into the end product. So once his fleece gets shorn off, its going to become processed, it’s going to become some type of end use garment and that softness that’s expressed, within that garment starts right here. So really a lot of positive characteristics here, along with a high degree of brightness throughout the fleece. Very, very impressive male here. Congratulations.")
Reserve Champion, 2025 Wild West Alpaca Show: Walking Fleece, Huacaya Black Color Champion (Class of 14) (Judge: Ken Hibbits) *Color Champion was our Estates Ameretto's Royal Knight
1st Place, 2026 National Western Stock Show: Halter, Huacaya Black Yearling Male (Class of 3) (Judge: Jacob Hart) (Judge's Comments: "Stepping up in the second group of three yearling Huacaya males, certainly was a very competitive class and a balancing act between conformation and fleece attributes. Starting the class however, this male is certainly the most complete within this line up. He’s 20 months of age and he’s maintaining an overall great size as he approaches maturity. Great width to the chest and throughout towards the pelvis. Straight, strong top lines as well. He does have the class advantage regarding the length of the fleece that he’s maintaining. Extremely organized and consistent within the level of organization from skin to tip really is deserving of this blue ribbon today.")
