Welcome to Sandollar Farms!
Are you looking for something fun to do this? Welcome to Sandollar Farms; we are a working farm located in the heart of southeast Washington Wine Country in the Tri-Cities about midway between the stunning Columbia River and the Horse Heaven Hills!
The orchard is now in production; bring the family for peaches, plums and nectarines and visit the alpacas and farm store while you are here! 10am to 4pm daily except Sunday!
For first time visitors to our web page, we breed the extremely rare and beautiful heritage breed "suri" alpaca both for preservation of the breed and for their exquisite fiber! Suri alpacas only represent 5% of all alpacas globally! We have two new baby alpacas born this year! The majority of our herd has been shown and received multiple ribbons and banners at regional and national alpaca shows testifying to the excellence of our herd!
AND we breed the majestic Great Pyrenees dogs, as a livestock guardian or family companion; if you get lucky, you might visit when we have a new litter! And don't forget the chickens, bees, the lily pond with koi and others, Birmingham Rollers etc.
But the farm has many other things to offer! Collins' Greenhouse produces herbs, bedding and vegetable plants during April through June; the orchard produces peaches, plums and nectarines during July through August. And of course, there is the farm store stocked with lots of wonderful items for treating yourself or a friend! The farm also hosts travelers to the area through Harvest Host; make your reservation and come spend the night with the alpacas!
You can book a one-of-a-kind Guided Educational Farm Tour if weather permits any day except Sunday for a fun, once in a lifetime, memory making experience! Visit the alpacas with your guide and visit these lovely critters up close! Scroll down to the end of this page for more information. If no dates are showing and the weather is expected to be good, call Nikki directly at 509-378-6909 to see if we can schedule an agreeable time!
Book A Tour
Or Bring the family during farm drop-in hours and take a free walking tour; we have posted educational signs so visitors can learn while they walk. Keep in mind that alpacas are > SHY but very CURIOUS. If you keep your hands out of sight, they typically will come right up to you and check you out, just STAND STILL! The adult and puppy dogs on the other hand are very sociable and love pets! Great Photo Opps! We do ask that you (a) check in at the store to let someone know you are here; (b) do NOT open any gates; and (c), NO running.
So wouldn't you and your family like to have some fun? The alpacas are waiting to meet you!
