Best Bred & Owned, ESTATES MALAGA'S MASTERPIECEXXX - 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Best Bred & Owned Huacaya Male (Class of ) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge's comments: “The 2026 TXOLAN Sweetheart Best Bred and Owned Huacaya male. A really impressive male here. The conformation. He is extremely sound. Very phenotypically pleasing as well. Really impressive fleece here. It’s a long stapling fleece, very soft handling, extremely fine, and maintaining the level of uniformity between the fineness and the overall character across the entire blanket. Congratulations.”
Color Champion, ESTATES BOREAS' EYE OF RA PROTECTOR - 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Dark Youth Juvenile Male (Class of 11) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “Here is the color and reserve champions for the male division of youth halter. Starting here in the color championship position is the youngest in the class at eight months of age. So he was the youngest within this entire lineup. He’s extremely conformationally appropriate and straight top line. Even chest and throughout towards the rump. As I view his fleece, it’s a fine fleece overall. Extremely soft handling. So, I really do want to recognize this color championship male.”
Color Champion, ESTATES EARLGREYS SILVER SANDDOLLAR – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Gray/Roan Female Championship (Class of 21) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “Checking off into the championship position from the yearling grey Huacaya female group. I really do want to recognize the frame here. The conformational attributes with that chest, maintaining towards the rump. Solid substance of bone to her. Really, it’s the size here and the capacity that earned her the championship today. She’s maintaining a long stapling fleece. Very soft. Very fine overall. Congratulations.”
Color Champion, ESTATES PICASSO'S FAMOUS PAINTING – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Brown Male Championship (Class of ) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “Congratulations to the 2026 TXOLAN Sweetheart Spectacular Color and Reserve Champion for the brown Huacaya male division. Stepping up into the color championship role, 4.5 years of age. I was not able to get past the overall quality that he’s still maintaining. At 4.5 years, he ultimately really, really producing a lot of fleece still. Not only a lot of it, but very good quality fleece. Brightness across the entire length of the staple, and relative to the fineness that he’s certainly very fine for 4.5 years. He’s still maintaining a high degree of density relative to that fineness, and he’s maintaining a high degree of organization across the entire blanket. You should be very proud of him. Congratulations.”
1st Place, ESTATES BOREAS' EYE OF RA PROTECTOR - 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Dark Youth Juvenile Male (Class of 1) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “Starting here in first place, I did like to start here with a first place ribbon for this single entry. This male is developing quite nicely within its proportions. As I view his fleece, it’s a relatively soft handling fleece. Pretty uniform between the finer and stronger fibers throughout that blanket which is indicative of that overall soft handling fleece. So, congratulations to you.”
1st Place, ESTATES EARLGREYS SILVER SANDDOLLAR – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Gray Yearling Female (Class of 8) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “This certainly was a very competitive class, from first through eighth. I really do want to recognize the conformation and fleece attributes. Starting as the most complete, however, is first place. She really has a very beautiful phenotype to her. As far as grey Huacaya females go, this is really what you want to see. She has width to the chest, throughout towards the pelvis. Straight top line. Strong angulation within the front and rear leg sets along even and balanced proportions. As I view her fleece, she’s not only maintaining a very fine fleece, but a long stapling fleece. A very fine fleece. As she is very warm here today, I did have to work to get some of that character expressed throughout. As I take a look at that tight crimp structure, it is very consistent from skin to tip. As I view the brightness, I really do want to recognize the overall consistency here. Congratulations.”
1st Place, ESTATES KOLBE'S CRUISIN' STREAK – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Gray Juvenile Male (Class of 1) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “Off to a nice start here. Just over six months of age. Conformationally, he’s quite striking. He has a straight topline, tracks evenly as he comes into the ring. As I view his fleece, he’s very uniform between the finer and the stronger fibers, between those grey and white fibers, along with the brown that are in there. So, I really do want to recognize the level of uniformity here. That’s indicative of the very soft handling fleece. So, I really do want to recognize those attributes. As I open up the fleece, he’s maintaining the crimp structure that’s becoming more evident towards the base of the staple. So, it just needs a little more time to continue to develop in order to really have that fleece shine. Congratulations.”
1st Place, ESTATES MALAGA'S MASTERPIECEXXX - 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Dark B & O Yearling Male (Class of 4) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge's comments: This certainly was a very competitive and very deep class here. It’s not too often that this early in a show I have to go resorting to the far extremities, the chest, the neck, very low belly in order to separate the placements here. Conformationally, all four of these males are very well-built overall. Straight top lines, strong substance of bone on each of them. Great width to the chest, throughout towards the pelvis. So really these placement points came down to fleece attributes. The most complete here however, was this male in first. If you would like to walk him out. He is maintaining an extremely, extremely long fleece, and he is organizing extremely well for that length. As I work my way down to the base of the staple, it’s extremely bright, very uniform within the level of character as I transition from the shoulder to mid-side into the rump. Even transitioning further down and up the pole there on the neck and towards the topknot. Really impressive male here. Congratulations.”
1st Place, ESTATES MYSTIC'S GOLDEN GIRL XXX – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Dark Fawn Yearling Female (Class of 7) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “The most complete female here. Once she calmed down a bit and I was able to take a look at her fleece, [I saw] she is maintaining a very organized fleece from skin to tip, with a very tight and organized crimp structure. As I take a look at her frame overall, she has a wide chest and moderate substance of bone from the ground up. Really, overall, quite a nice female here. Congratulations.”
1st Place, ESTATES PICASSO'S FAMOUS PAINTING – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Brown Mature Male (Class of 1) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “It’s a shame that this male did not have additional competition because he is certainly quite impressive. At four and a half years of age, he’s had several shearings and you wouldn’t know it by the regrowth. He is still maintaining very, very high-quality fleece for this brown male here within the lineup. I do want to take note of how dense he is relative to the fineness for his age. So, really certainly an impressive package here. Congratulations.”
1st Place, ESTATES RINGMASTER'S MANUKA HONEY – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Med. Fawn Juvenile Male (Class of 4) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “Certainly, I do want to start off by saying, this was a pretty competitive class here. However, coming to the top of the group is this male right here. I do want to recognize the fleece that he’s maintaining. Very soft handling. High degree of organization expressed across the entire length of the blanket. Really showing a solidity of staple there that really does put him here in the first-place position. When he stands up correctly, you can see that he has the width to the chest. Just under 9 months of age, so he’s still maintaining a full dose of conformational attributes as well.”
1st Place, ESTATES ULTIMATE BLACK KNIGHT – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Black Juvenile Male (Class of 7) (Judge: Jacob Hart)
1st Place, SNOWMASS PURE PASSION – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya GET OF SIRE (Class of 2) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “Huacaya Get of Sire, class of two. Get of Sire certainly is the testament to the prepotency of the Huacaya Herdsire here within this lineup. Each one of these alpacas within each group has the same sire, but they have different dams. So, really, it is a testament to how prepotent that particular herdsire is to pass along his genetics. Not only am I looking at the quality and the advancement of each conformation and fleece attribute, but also the consistency of those traits from one alpaca to the next. Coming to the top as the most complete package here amongst these three is this fawn group. Two juveniles followed by a two-year-old; they are very comparable, not only within the fleece attributes but the conformational traits. As ages are significantly different between the two juveniles and the two-year-old, sizes are different; however, the substance of bone, relative to that size, certainly is very impressive on all three of these alpacas. As I view the fleece on each one of these animals, I’m noticing that the character is expressed evenly across the entire length of the staple; it’s also extremely bright. So, I really do want to recognize the consistency from one alpaca to the next. Congratulations!”
2nd Place, ESTATES ANDALUSIAN PRINCESS – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Dark Bred & Owned Yearling Female (Class of 3) (Judge: Jacob Hart) *First Place won Best Bred & Owned Judge’s comments: “Stepping into second place, this female is more compact, but still appropriately grown. All three of these females are roughly within two to three months of each other regarding their overall age, so pretty comparable comparing conformation. As she walks into the ring, she tracks evenly. She’s maintaining the straight topline. Great width to the chest and throughout to the frame, even though she’s a little bit more on the compact side. She is maintaining a very fine fleece, the finest in the class even.”
2nd Place, ESTATES BERTIE LOU II SPECIAL – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Black Yearling Female (Class of 7) (Judge: Jacob Hart) *First Place won Color Champion. Judge's comments: “This really was a competitive class balancing both fleece and conformational traits. Even the seventh one that wasn’t placed certainly still had plenty of positive attributes to talk about. This second place female has the width to the chest. She has the size overall. She is maintaining a very long stapling fleece, and its bright at the base of the staple. Her consistency of character gave her the edge over third place.”
2nd Place, ESTATES GIBRALTAR KALYPSO SERENITY – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Brown Yearling Female (Class of 8) (Judge: Jacob Hart) *First Place won Color Champion. Judge’s comments: “A really competitive class between conformation and fleece attributes. It was really the degree of density that places first over second. Second place, while this female is another one of those certainly very striking, the substance of bone, the leg coverage, overall head style. She is very true to type for the Huacaya female. She was carrying a more uniform colored fleece and stronger conformation compared to that of third place."
2nd Place, ESTATES LUSTROUS GRAPHITE – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Black Juvenile Female (Class of 7) (Judge: Jacob Hart) *First Place won Reserve Champion. Judge's comments: "As I open up her fleece, it’s a very bright fleece and very long for the time of growth. While it is very long, it was slightly broader in staple type compared to that of first place.”
2nd Place, ESTATES RINGMASTER'S PRINCE PASSION – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Light Juvenile Male (Class of 5) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “It certainly was a very competitive group here. Second place is another eye-catching male. Conformationally sound. Has the width to the chest that maintains throughout towards the rump.”
2nd Place, ESTATES SAKIMA'S SAMARAI SPIRIT – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Black Yearling Male (Class of 11) (Judge: Jacob Hart) *First Place won Color Champion
2nd Place, ESTATES SHOWTIME'S SILVER PRINCESS - 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Gray Juvenile Female (Class of 5) (Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “Very competitive top pair here. This female has the width and certainly has the overall capacity and spring of ribs continue throughout … overall frame."
2nd Place, ESTATES XXXTREME LEGACY PASSION – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Fawn 2-Year-Old Male (Class of 7) (Judge: Jacob Hart) *First Place won Color Champion. Judge’s comments: “Here is a group of six Huacaya males from the fawn color group, originally from a class of seven. I believe this is my third class of seven in a row. It’s also going to be the third time in a row that I say, the first through seventh all had extremely positive attributes, so the depth of quality here throughout these classes certainly has been extremely impressive. Each one of you should be very proud to be standing right here. Second place was another eye-catching male as he walked into the ring. He has the leg coverage, and he has the substance of bone. Overall, conformationally sound. Ultimately though he just doesn’t quite carry as well far down within the level of character towards midside, and the lower midside as the first-place male exhibited today. He was, however, carrying the finer of the two fleeces from second to third place.”
3rd Place, ESTATES PURE PASSIONATE TAPESTRYXX – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Medium Fawn Juvenile Female (Class of 11) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “This was really a competitive class—the entire group of 11. So, I ultimately brought up the top six here within the group and then sorted them out in that manner. Third place has that substance of bone that I’m looking for, compared to that of second place. She has an overall compact frame; she is appropriately grown for the age. She was holding together the subgroups of staple type more firmly than that of fourth place.”
3rd Place, ESTATES ROYAL PRINCE CHARMING XXX – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Silver Gray Yearling Male (Class of 8) (Judge: Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “This was originally a class of 8 and it certainly was a very competitive class here. First through eighth even, but especially the top six placements. I want to recognize the fleece here. Very bright fleece and there’s a lot of it. Very fine. I brought him up into the top three based on those fleece attributes.”
4th Place, ESTATES DARLIN MISS ARKANSAS – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Dark Brown Yearling Female (Class of 4) (Judge: Jacob Hart) *First Place won Reserve Champion. Judge’s comments: “Fourth place was the oldest in the class. Once again, a compact framed female, but she’s got the width to the chest, and she has strong substance of bone to the frame with a strong top line. So, conformationally even though more compact, it is still relatively strong. It’s a long stapling fleece that she’s carrying. As I view the sample on my sleeve, she’s relatively uniform between the finer and stronger fibers. I just want to see even more of it.”
4th Place, ESTATES GIBRALTAR'S EPIC XXX - 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya White Juvenile Male (Class of 8) (Jacob Hart) Judge’s comments: “Class of eight juvenile Huacaya males. I certainly want to recognize the entire lineup – first to eight. As he walked into the ring - very square overall. Great width to the chest that’s carried throughout the rump. A very true to type to head-style as well. He is carrying a fleece that is very dense and very organized from skin to tip. As you see there, there is a brown spot on that right side. That variation in color was a factor here.”
5th Place, ESTATES SAKIMA'S JAPANESE BLOSSOM – 2026 TXOLAN Alpaca Spectacular: Halter, Huacaya Black Juvenile Female (Class of 7) (Judge: Jacob Hart) *Second Place was our Estates Lustrous Graphite. Judge's comments: "She was the youngest in the class. Conformationally sound."
