Description

Delicia melds the Avenger line (dam was Avenger daughter) and one of the best known suri herdsires currently breeding - Pucara Kahuna. This girl has size, substance, suri phenotype and the fiber characteristics we look for in our suri herd.

Delicia's dam, Delicata, was a foundation female on our farm before she passed away. She was a very gentle soul and her offspring possess her same mellow personality. Delicia carries a ton of fleece on her rather "bold" frame - a trait inherited from her sire, Kahuna. This girl has averaged nearly 8 lbs. of shear weight over the last 5 years! She's always a top contender for shear weight in our herd.

Delicia's 2015 offspring, Defender, is a light fawn son of our producer of champions, Admiral's Commandor. Defender placed 2nd at AOA Nationals, 1st & RC at GWAS & 1st at Futurity at just 6 months of age. We're very excited about the future of this male as a herdsire! Delicia's 2017 son is NorthStar, who has been taking the showring by storm! One-half interest in this young male is owned by Heart & Soul Alpacas - purchased at under a year old! This outstanding boy has size, substance of bone, very upright and showy stance, AND all the fleece characteristics we're looking for in a suri. Given he's a male is just a bonus on our farm!

In 2020, this girl gave us yet another male - full brother to Defender and NorthStar. Unfortunately we lost him to "undetermined cause".....Sad day on the farm.

Delicia has been bred to Sir Oliver Twist for a 5/23 cria. Outside breedings to Oliver are closed - this is how you get one of his breedings AND a highly proven female, dam to one of the most prestigious herdsires in the country, NorthStar!
