Very even. Very bright. Very healthy. Fine. Dense. And he’s working it down into those extremities. I really encourage you to get your hands on it. It’s just that dreamy, buttery-soft handle to it. These two were neck and neck in their class. The reserve coming up to pull up quick beside him. Just really close between the pair. This too, a very healthy fleece. It’s got an excellent hand to it as well. There’s uniformity. Packing a lot onto that frame. Both of them very solid conformationally. Gave up some density and brightness to the female at the top, but beautiful hand here and really good uniformity on our alpaca in the second position."

When you get into this fiber, she’s got a beautiful softness to this fleece, she’s got beautiful architecture. I gave a little more definition and a little more organization to our first place here, but super soft handling, bright fleece. Beautiful package in terms of head style and balance here in our second."

Judge's comments: "Our female in third position, you can see too that she’s very well-grown. She has good size and capacity to her. This is a really soft handling fleece. Just a little broader in the micron. She just gave up to the girls above her in that regard. Still maintaining that softness, so we’re still fine. I really love the handle on her and the over all type. Really strong, solid put together female."

She doesn’t have the same staple formation or density in that fleece, but the softness is there. Conformationally, she’s compact and free. Beautiful style to the head. She was my third-place winner."

Judge's comments: "When you view her from the profile, she’s a little longer in the back so I’d like to see her a bit more squared up. She does have that nice capacity to her chest. When I get into this fiber, it’s really soft. I really love the fineness here and she is finer than the alpaca in fourth position, just not as organized."

Judge's comments: “A very pleasing style to him. I really liked him when he walked in as well. I love that he’s got coverage to the toes, but I get into this fiber though, it’s a bit more open. He’s lacking that organization across that fleece. And while its soft, again I just wanted to see a little more density to move him along.”
